SMEs are vital to the UK’s economy. The UK has over 2.7 million SMEs employing 13.6 million people and generating more than £2.6 billion in turnover. SMEs bolster our prosperity, provide millions of livelihoods, and create goods and services enjoyed across the world.
SME4Labour has worked tirelessly to make SMEs central to Labour’s agenda, delivering 40 events at last month’s Labour Conference. Labour now has the opportunity to deliver on its manifesto commitments to crack down on late payments, remove barriers to exporting for small businesses, and reform the British Business Bank.
