SME4Labour Excellence Awards 2026 – Nominations Now Open

The SME4Labour Excellence Awards return in 2026 to celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, organisations, and institutions that champion small businesses, support economic growth, and contribute to the Labour movement across the United Kingdom.

As a flagship initiative of SME4Labour, the awards sit at the heart of the relationship between enterprise and politics—bringing together business leaders and Labour representatives to recognise shared values, collaboration, and impact.

Strengthening the Link Between SMEs and the Labour Party

At its core, SME4Labour exists to ensure that the voice of small and medium-sized businesses is heard within the Labour Party and reflected in policymaking.

The Excellence Awards play a vital role in this mission by:

  • Showcasing Labour representatives who actively support SMEs, entrepreneurship, and local economic growth
  • Recognising collaboration between businesses and Labour institutions at local, regional, and national levels
  • Providing a platform for dialogue between SME leaders and policymakers
  • Encouraging engagement between the business community and the Labour movement

From councillors and MPs to mayors and party organisations, the awards highlight those within Labour who are working closely with businesses to deliver real outcomes for communities.

Why These Awards Matter

Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the UK economy—driving innovation, employment, and prosperity in every region.

However, their success is closely linked to effective policy, representation, and support. The SME4Labour Excellence Awards recognise those who are helping to build that bridge—ensuring that:

  • SMEs have a strong voice within Labour policymaking
  • Business needs are reflected in economic and social policy
  • Partnerships between government and enterprise deliver sustainable and inclusive growth

By celebrating these contributions, the awards reinforce the importance of cooperation between business and politics in shaping a stronger future.
