We are delighted to announce SME4Labour’s second annual parliamentary reception, kindly hosted by Bill Esterson MP, Member of Parliament for Sefton Central and Shadow Minister for Business and International Trade.

Since its founding, SME4Labour has provided a vibrant platform for insightful analysis and discussion on issues affecting the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Our supporters come from all parts of the Labour family. Most recently, we held our second Gala Dinner and Labour Excellence Awards at the Park Lane Sheraton Hotel, attended by over 60 Labour MPs and peers, including members of the Shadow Cabinet. To learn more, please visit: www.sme4labour.org

The Labour Party recognises that SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy. As of 2016, SMEs accounted for 99.3% of all private sector businesses, employing over 15.7 million people, and generating an estimated £1.8 trillion in annual turnover—representing 47% of all private sector revenue.

Through SME4Labour, we aim to provide a forum where SMEs can engage with the Labour Party and help shape economic policy for the many, not the few.

We will be joined by Bill Esterson MP, members of the Shadow Cabinet, and a number of MPs and Peers.
