As a Labour & Co-operative Council Leader, I know the importance of SMEs to Medway with more than 14,000 operating across our community. SME4Labour does a fantastic job of championing their issues, bringing together key decision makers and highlighting the very best examples of Labour working with and supporting small and medium enterprise.
In our first 100 days I was pleased to sign the FSB Local Leadership Pledge along with our Cabinet Member for Economic and Social Regeneration & Inward Investment Lauren Edwards, now the Rochester & Strood MP, showing once again it is Labour who are truly the party for small business.
As we move forward following the historic General Election result we know in Keir, Angela, Rachel and the whole Labour team, SME4Labour will continue to be a key voice for a vital part of our communities and our economy as we continue the positive change our country needs.
