SME4Labour was pleased to convene a focused roundtable exploring how small businesses can play a more active role in delivering the Government’s health mission.
Chaired by Kate Osborne MP and featuring a keynote address from Ashley Dalton MP ,Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention in the Department of Health and Social Care, the session brought together MPs, public health advocates, and SME leaders from across sectors to examine the vital links between community wellbeing and local business ecosystems.
Participants discussed how SMEs—particularly those in food, fitness, care, and retail—are uniquely placed to influence healthier behaviours and support public health goals. Contributions covered practical measures, policy incentives, and the importance of targeted engagement with smaller firms across the UK.
