MP Celebrates Small Business Saturday at Kiddy Candy Salon

Warrington North MP Helen Jones celebrated Small Business Saturday by visiting the Kiddy Candy Salon on Orford Lane.

Small Business Saturday is a grass roots campaign that encourages people to shop locally and support small businesses in the local community.

Last year was the first time it took place in the UK and brought in almost £500m of extra trade to small firms.

Helen Jones MP said:

"It was great to meet Lianne at her Kiddy Candy Salon and help promote Small Business Saturday. The salon is a brilliant and unique initiative with its magical candy land theme.

"Small business like this are doing a fantastic job, giving us greater choice and adding something a little bit special. They make a vital contribution to our community, adding character to our town and are a source of local jobs."

Lianne Lagha, owner of the Kiddy Candy Salon said:

"I am pleased to be able to help highlight Small Business Saturday.

"Our concept at Kiddy Candy was to create a salon purely dedicated to children and their needs with the aim of taking the stress out of the experience for all by capturing the imagination of every child.

"We have specially designed children’s haircut chairs – ranging from planes to motorbikes and a Ferrari, - animal character TV screens, DVDs, games station, creative play area, mini manicures and pedicures stations and much more."
